Canada Day 2010

Happy Canada Day!

It’s a hot one out there today, I was hoping to catch some of the festivities here in Kenora but there are NONE!  Go figure, apparently everything is in Keewatin this year.  Oh well, hope I was the only one that didn’t know and no one else missed out.  But, I am looking forward to the Symphony on Saturday night, rumor has it that the fire works are being set off to music!  Won’t that be cool.  Can’t wait!

Newborn Portraits

It’s really hard to say I like one type of photography more than another however, I definitely love photographing newborns.  New moms are often not sure if they should bring their new baby in at only a couple of weeks old and often wait till they’re older.  Well you don’t have to wait.  Newborns are great to photograph and they certainly don’t stay little for long.  In that first couple weeks of life they still like to scrunch up which is perfect for those towel poses or curled up in daddy’s hands like this one.

Summer Portrait Planning

Yippee it’s Monday morning and it’s already hot!  This summer is shaping up to be a good one a bit wet right now but at least it’s warm and the trees are green.  It’s a great time to start planning for a family portrait outdoors at your favorite park, your cabin or favorite place on the Lake!  Take advantage of our July and August special as seen in the upcoming Lake of the Woods Cottage Magazine.

Relay for Life 2010

Wow, it’s hard to believe that it’s been a week already since Relay for Life took place here in Kenora. Over $74,000 was raised just here in Kenora!  Way to go teams!  Check out the images from the evening  and into the morning of June 11 & 12 in the Gallery “Relay for Life”

I took a drive past Lakewood School, where the Relay took place this year, and what a beautiful sight it was all lit up with Luminaries and the word HOPE spelled out on the hillside.
