Family Portraits

Wow, what a beautiful day to take family portraits.  We went behind “Old St Joseph’s Hospital”, here in Kenora. The  big willow tree provided nice cool shade and gorgeous photographs.  Can’t wait to show my clients their beautiful images!

Wedding Guest

On Saturday I had the pleasure of being a guest at a beautiful wedding of two special people, very much in Love with each other. It’s not often that I get to just be a guest, but I had that privilege yesterday.  I don’t know what  it is about weddings but when I see two people so in love with each other, it gives me warm fuzzies inside.  Maybe it’s the renewed hope that there is someone special out there for each and every one of us.  Congratulations to Kenora’s newest couple!

What a Great Weekend!

Thank you to everyone who came out and stopped by our booth at the home show this weekend.  It was great to see some new faces as well as our VIC’s aka Very Important Clients, and chat about your summer plans.  We look forward to serving you this summer at your family events and gatherings.

Kenora Home Show

If you haven’t stopped by yet, you still have time.  Come on down to the Kenora Home Show at the Rec Center, say  “Hello” and enter your name in our draw for one of four $50 gift certificates to use towards your next portrait session!

Pets really do round out our lives.

Well, I was visiting with my parents this evening…OK I confess I went to see the puppy, Freckles.  We are still trying to teach her not to counter surf, stop when told to, along with all the other things we need to do to teach our puppy proper manners.  Of course “They” tell you it’s the tone of voice and not the words that the dog understands, so the idea is when instructing your dog you are not supposed to laugh.  Kinda defeats the purpose, right?  The little monkey took off running  with the insole from my shoe.  I couldn’t help but laugh.  The look on her face was so funny.  So I’m trying to be authoritative, in my voice, and tell her “No” and “Drop It”.  Ya right.  She took off and hid under the dining room table hoping I wouldn’t see her.  Problem was her tail gave her away.  It was wrapped around the bottom and onto the top of the table.  Yep, I burst out laughing.  Crazy little monkey!  Her silly antics are always good for a laugh, gotta love it.

Only 3 sleeps left!

I’m getting excited!  Thumper and Hannah will be hopping around my studio, all day,  Saturday and I can hardly wait.  It’s so much fun photographing kids interacting with the bunnies.  Not only does it create exciting memories for them but also makes the perfect gift for Grandparents and family.

Recent Newborn Session

Newborn babies are so beautiful.  I find myself mesmerized by all the little movements and noises that they make.   Here are some images from my last newborn portrait session.

Enjoy!

Facebook

OK, so I moaned and groaned about this Facebook thing for way too long and now I’m officially addicted.  I just found some friends that I haven’t seen since college.  I won’t admit how long ago that was.  What I do have to say is that I LOVE facebook.  What a great invention and totally awesome way to reconnect with people you haven’t seen in years.  Where on earth would we be without the internet?

I  finished watching a series on PBS called “Any Human Heart”. It was a biography of a man who grew up at the beginning of the 1900’s.  I was in awe of how much life, technology and everything has changed in only 100 years.  Can you imagine if we had the internet and the communication that we have now, back then.  It’s truly amazing.
