Strawberries, mmmm!

So, my friend Dana is harassing me to add something to my blog.  So Dana, this one’s for you!  And just to let you know it’s almost 40 degrees here too…but we have the lake to cool off in!

Ah Strawberry season.  There’s nothing quite like fresh picked strawberries, especially when you don’t have to pick them.  My mom and I took a drive to Hadishville and picked up strawberries at M&E Strawberry farm.  It’s only a couple dollars more to have them picked and all you have to do is pick up the basket and take them home for cleaning!

I’ve eaten so many, I think I’m going to turn into a strawberry!

Summer is here!

Well it’s official, summer is certainly here!

Last weekend we had a visit from our friends from the city and they brought their little boy in for a portrait session.  He’s such a little cutie!  We were all sitting in the living room after brunch and the little guy was having a nap in his mothers arms, when he woke up he looked over at me with this big happy grin!  Here’s a couple images of this little sweetheart!

Family Portraits

Wow, what a beautiful day to take family portraits.  We went behind “Old St Joseph’s Hospital”, here in Kenora. The  big willow tree provided nice cool shade and gorgeous photographs.  Can’t wait to show my clients their beautiful images!

Wedding Guest

On Saturday I had the pleasure of being a guest at a beautiful wedding of two special people, very much in Love with each other. It’s not often that I get to just be a guest, but I had that privilege yesterday.  I don’t know what  it is about weddings but when I see two people so in love with each other, it gives me warm fuzzies inside.  Maybe it’s the renewed hope that there is someone special out there for each and every one of us.  Congratulations to Kenora’s newest couple!

What a Great Weekend!

Thank you to everyone who came out and stopped by our booth at the home show this weekend.  It was great to see some new faces as well as our VIC’s aka Very Important Clients, and chat about your summer plans.  We look forward to serving you this summer at your family events and gatherings.

Sneak Peak!

Sadly, Thumper and Hannah have left the studio for another year, but we sure had fun while they were here!  Thank you to everyone  that came out to help us raise funds for Rescue North.  Here’s a few of the images from today.

Pets really do round out our lives.

Well, I was visiting with my parents this evening…OK I confess I went to see the puppy, Freckles.  We are still trying to teach her not to counter surf, stop when told to, along with all the other things we need to do to teach our puppy proper manners.  Of course “They” tell you it’s the tone of voice and not the words that the dog understands, so the idea is when instructing your dog you are not supposed to laugh.  Kinda defeats the purpose, right?  The little monkey took off running  with the insole from my shoe.  I couldn’t help but laugh.  The look on her face was so funny.  So I’m trying to be authoritative, in my voice, and tell her “No” and “Drop It”.  Ya right.  She took off and hid under the dining room table hoping I wouldn’t see her.  Problem was her tail gave her away.  It was wrapped around the bottom and onto the top of the table.  Yep, I burst out laughing.  Crazy little monkey!  Her silly antics are always good for a laugh, gotta love it.
